The Vieques Film and Human Rights Festival (FCDHV) opens the call for its 3rd edition

The Vieques Film and Human Rights Festival (FCDHV) announced the opening of the call for its third edition, which will take place from December 8 to 11, 2022. It will focus on Climate Justice, term which recognizes that climate change can have different social, economic, public health and other adverse impacts on disadvantaged populations. Applied ethics, research, and activism use this term to address anthropogenic climate change as an ethical, legal, and political problem, rather than one of a purely environmental or physical nature.

The period for receiving works will last until June 30, 2022. National or international works may participate, from documentary or fiction nature, experimental, animation, video clips, work in progress, and new audiovisual formats, referring to all social and environment issues that promote in an original way, respect for human rights in its broadest concept. Movies or videos sponsored by commercial companies that are, by their content, advertising vehicles, will not be accepted. The non-competitive sections of the Festival will be: Childhood and Youth, as well as Memory. About the Festival

The Vieques Film and Human Rights Festival was born with the purpose of deepening and making visible the most urgent problems to find through art new spaces of empowerment that can in turn be replicated as tools for individual and collective transformation.

Together with national and international personalities, universities, social organizations, communicators and communicators, artists, musicians and filmmakers, it will seek to give the greatest possible impact to the claims of civil society regarding this issue, through sensitizing artistic activities and constructive debates.
